The expectation remains that Enzo Fernandez will depart Chelsea this window, and Chelsea have been working on replacements.
As we reported first over the weekend and into the start of this week, Fernandez’ camp say he is now getting much closer to a move to Manchester City and either last night, or Luton Town on Thursday, is expected to be the last Chelsea match that Fernandez is involved in.
In fact, SPTC Sources say that it’s now just about Chelsea sourcing a replacement for Fernandez, and the move to City is basically all now lined up and ready to conclude.
Chelsea have already been laying down groundwork on replacements for Fernandez, and they are now accelerating that with the expectation of the midfielder departing this week. We have heard who the Plan A is to replace Fernandez, and we have also been given a brand new name who has come into the mix - a player who has not been linked yet.
