EXCL: Chelsea hold fresh internal meeting regarding Chalobah and Guehi, Sources: Veiga says he wants to play more, Sources: Lampard asks about 4 Chelsea players, Downside of a big squad, Much more....
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 14th January 2025!
Morning all,
I’m also very aware of all the big bits of news that came out last night after I’d already gone to bed!! So I’ll post out sourced articles very soon on Mathys Tel, Christopher Nkunku, and two other players!!
Chelsea play football again tonight and this time we have a slightly more difficult opponent to face than Morecambe on Saturday.
Bournemouth are a team in form right now, and that is who we welcome to Stamford Bridge tonight for the 7.30pm kick off. Interestingly, there are a couple of Bournemouth centre backs on our transfer shortlist, so all eyes will be on them as well tonight.
And speaking of centre backs, I put out an exclusive report yesterday on Chelsea’s plans to bring in a new one this month, which they are actively looking to do. There was an internal meeting on Sunday, and you can get the details on that in here.
I also had two other sourced articles out yesterday, with a lot simmering up now. The Renato Veiga situation was the story of the weekend really and came out of nowhere. The player is unhappy and wants to leave already after only joining us in the summer. So what is the situation there? Get all the inside info explained here.
My other sourced article is on Frank Lampard at Coventry. As we reported recently, super Frank wants to bring in a Chelsea player on loan this month, and he has asked about four players specifically. Find out who those players are and how Chelsea have responded to those enquiries in here.
Following on from the Veiga news really, I have an opinion article on the situation and the downside of having such a big squad and being able to field two different starting lineups for league and cup games. There are many positives, but the negatives are starting to appear now too. More on that in here.
And of course, as there is a lot going on right now and fast-changing situations and news being reported all the time from other outlets and sources, I have all of that covered in the live blog from yesterday in here. Covers the last 24 hours of Chelsea news all in the same place and has that big Axel Disasi news in as well!
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.30am!
Peace, Si.
