Well, that was some weekend, wasn’t it? We fell short in the FA Cup final, which was very disappointing. But then the club decided to pick us all up by throwing out the Xabi Alonso announcement earlier than planned!
It’s a huge coup by the club, one they can be proud of and deserve credit for. But there’s still a long way to go and a lot to do this summer. I have my words on all of that in here, as well as some sourced snippets around Alonso and summer plans etc.
As for the FA Cup final, you can read my reactions here. I’ve not gone in to too much detail on this one, because none of us really expected Chelsea to win. But I did see effort at least, which was good.
