Morning all,
We will have the latest Podcast out later today to talk deeper through any last minute transfer deals we might see at Chelsea, but time is seriously running out now.
A lot of situations are fast-moving and new rumours coming out all the time, so the best place to start for the fresh news is the live blog from yesterday in here. I did send out another exclusive article yesterday morning on Chelsea making enquiries for TWO Brighton players this window. The enquiries were turned away swiftly, but it’s very interesting to see the names we asked for, and the interest will remain. So if you’ve not read that yet, you can see it in here.
I then followed that article up with a sourced article on all the latest on Chelsea’s last ditch attempts to bring in Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, and the fresh enquiry they made for Jhon Duran last week. Can anything develop? Find out in here. Also, these situations could have already moved on because I wrote this article early on Wednesday morning! Duran is also now close to a Saudi move.
I’ve put my opinion out on the Tel pursuit as well in here. I like the player and think he has a lot of potential, and I certainly would not moan if we signed him. But his profile is STILL not the profile we need to add up top. For a left winger, yes, but not the different striker profile to Nicolas Jackson that we truly need.
Finally, we have a deep dive from that man Rob Pratley, who has returned to the site this week to put out an absolutely fantastic article explaining why Chelsea Men’s team recruit so differently (better) to the Women’s team. I know what style of operations and recruiting that I, and MANY others would prefer. This is well worth your time here. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this one myself!

Under these owners they have managed a top 6 as their best finish so far. (Will we match that this season? You don't always get what you want, sometimes you just get what you deserve)
The ownerships desire to win over profit (or is it Profit over Winning) will be obvious with Palmer, if we don’t get Top 5, so no CL. CL Teams will come knocking for him. Big $$$ will be on offer.
Then we will see if they’re truly about building a winning team, "to sell or not to sell? that is the question my dear friends.
