EXCL: Chelsea back in talks with Bournemouth for Alex Scott

As well as the John Stones exclusive that we delivered over the weekend on the Substack App, we also put this info out. But as I did with the Stones stuff, I wanted to get this in article format for the website too and add some extra info.

As we exclusively revealed before any other outlet reporting it, Chelsea were going to send an offer for Alex Scott of Bournemouth once they sold Andrey Santos. This was despite the club briefing that they had no interest in Scott. Then it became a public report that Chelsea had an offer, that we believe to be base of £60m plus £15m in add-ons, rejected by the Premier League club.

Sources believe Chelsea were then quoted north of £80m if they wanted to sign Scott this window, with some even suggesting much more than that, closer to £90m.
