There is quite the historical story behind Chelsea signing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, with the attacker set to have his Stamford Bridge medical today.

We have been saying here that he was Chelsea’s top transfer target all summer, and he’s a player that Chelsea have liked and been tracking for some time now.

Chelsea have been chasing Rogers since January 2024 when he was at Middlesbrough, just before he went to Aston Villa. He first impressed when we played them in the cup, scoring a goal against Chelsea.
