European Super League fallouts, plus transfer updates on Rice and Sule

As expected, #Issue23 of my Chelsea FC Newsletter is heavily based around our plans to join the European Super League.

It’s been an absolutely crazy last 24 hours as a football fan, as the shock announcement was made about Chelsea’s inclusion into the new European Super League late on Sunday night.

Everything else relating to Chelsea really does feel quite insignificant right now, even the match against Brighton tonight. I mean, a penny for the thoughts of Chelsea’s players right now. Madness.

I’ve got so many emotions burning through my veins right now and my mind is full of thoughts, as I am sure is the same with all of you guys. This is a major MAJOR thing, and for me, if all the rumoured reporting on this becomes reality, it really does feel like the end of football as I know it, what I have grown up with.

I’ll always support Chelsea regardless, it’s impossible for me not to, I bleed blue blood. But this whole situation has sucked the life and passion out of me for the club right now, and it’s even been hard to put this Newsletter together.

But as always, I do have thoughts, and plenty of them…

I’ve written two updates/opinions pieces on the current situation, the first one you should check out is called ‘It’s snow joke for Chelsea’, based on our historical game played out in Norway in the snow against Tromso in the Cup Winners Cup and relating those memories to ‘real football.’

Anyways, I didn’t want this whole newsletter to be about this damn thing, so let’s talk a bit of transfers to round it off.

Those of you who listened to our Podcast last week (listen here), you’d have heard me deliver some significant Declan Rice news. I’ve now typed that up in article form and added some extra info in there, you can read that here.

Finally, I know many of you are dead against this move, and personally he is not my first, second, or even third choice, but Chelsea’s interest in Niklas Sule is legit and getting real.

On a final note, just to reiterate we have re-branded ever so slightly. I’ve added Dan’s name into the title due to his constant moaning… And we feel he deserves it also… !
