Ryan - thanks for this. We know we have central defensive issues with leavers and lack of cover for wing backs but at least the position is clear even if it is chaotic- TT is wedded to a back 3 and we need two CBs + full back cover.

But chaotic is better than shambolic which is how I see the position further up the field!

We all know about the (hopefully outgoing) striker with no name and no heart. But we also have 3 wide players who have underwhelmed in Werner, Ziyech and Pulisic. We have two 8s in Mount and Gallagher when we don't play out and out 8s. We have a brilliant no 10/false 9 in Havertz who TT does not seem to be able to find a regular place for (he is looking for a new 9). We do play two 6s (if we count Kante as a 6) and of the 3 we have, two are entering final year of their contract.

If Mount plays out of position in one of the wide positions, as he did last season, and for the sake of argument Dembele plays the other wide position and we get a new No 9, I don't see any starting place for Kai or Gallagher.

I would be interested if you could apply your excellent technical analysis to how the hell we sort this mess out. My guess is bringing in Declan might help a bit but it doesn't sort all the issues out! What do you think TT's plan is because from where I am standing he doesn't seem to have one!

Very interesting article. But what about our loanees (ex: Colwill & Sterling), as well as the defenders we're targeting? How do they fit?

I can ask Ryan if he fancies doing something on that, cheers!
