We have just three league games left to play this season now and all of them remain cup finals. Chelsea must keep this strong momentum going, and you know what? I actually believe we will qualify for the Champions League at this point and I even said that ahead of the Liverpool game. You can get my thoughts leading into those crucial final games here.
The Liverpool win was huge, and it’s certainly one I don’t mind looking back on because I believe it was our best overall performance and most complete performance under Enzo Maresca so far, and we did that with just 35% possession. There is some analysis of our goal here, showing how important Romeo Lavia and Cole Palmer are to our team. I beg Lavia can stay fit now.
The community here are still very split on Maresca and whether he should stay past the summer. Chelsea will most likely keep him if he achieves his targets of UCL qualification, but a decision will be made if he doesn’t. What do you think warrants being backed or being sacked this summer? Have a look at the voting results and my comments here.
One of our stories from a couple weeks ago has been confirmed now elsewhere, and that is Chelsea’s interest in Feyenoord defender David Hancko [pictured above]. This kind of signing would be an experienced one with leadership, which is what many of us want to see. But is he good enough for Chelsea? I ponder all that and more in here.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.30am today on the home page!
Peace, Si.

That 35% possession stat shows just how unnecessary high possession numbers are to win football matches.
I wouldn't mind betting in Jose's 95 point first season we had that sort of possession percentage in a lot of the games we won.
