Wow. Spot on. We do need a CB that has no health issues. As to GK is our GK coach working on ball distribution which should be our main focus. Also corner marking also has to be a priority.

Now to Sunderland: when their 2nd half tactics changed and they brought up players to challenge our backs that left them short on their back line which made them vulnerable to more attacking options which we failed to take advantage. Longer passes to our wingers and quicker centering would have created more opportunities. They would have had to bring those players back to defend and we would not have had that game ending situation. That’s the only mistake Maresca made and it cost us 3 points.

Resigned to the fact that we'll be settling on Anselmino and sarr as our next centre back additions, whether that be in January or likelier next summer

Nothing wrong with that and we can spend money elsewhere. We have got to rid ourselves of constantly injured players whether it be Fofana and or Lavia. Potential only takes you so far.

Yeah like what are we doing here 🤣

On Sanchez: Not done too much wrong - United game apart - but Maignan's distribution, experience, leadership and proven quality would have made us better. The issue is more the CB failure.

Aside from the red card at Man U (which was arguably more on Caicedo not tracking) what has Sanchez done wrong this season?

Watching Milan in pre-season you could see Maignan is a busted flush. He's dreadful on crosses. He'd be an absolute disaster.

Maignon with the emergence of long throws would've been terrible

Really don't get what Sanchez has done wrong this season? Bar the Utd red he defo hasn't cost us points like the centre halves have.
