CHELSEA WIN CONFERENCE LEAGUE!! EXCL: Chelsea eye another Man City player, John Terry: Chelsea need to add proven experience to take next step, Profiling Hugo Ekitike, News roundups, Much more...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 29th May 2025!
Morning all,
It’s the morning after the night before and rightly so, there is going to be some sore heads amongst the Chelsea players and staff this morning! They’ve earned it. First trophy for Enzo Maresca, first the many of the players, first for our new ownership. It was a bloody great night, Chelsea are the Conference League Champions! I felt very good to witness a trophy lift again, VERY good. We must now build on this into next season and get it SPOT ON this summer.
I tried a new thing yesterday for the match report. I did a live match blog for the game where I was updating around every 15 minutes and got you all involved in the comments. I enjoyed this and will do it more next season as well as live watch-alongs for games. You can check this out from last night here as well as player ratings added.
I had another big exclusive transfer article out yesterday on a new target that the club have been discussing. It’s another Manchester City player, but not from the academy. If you missed it yesterday, you can recap and see who it is here.
Oh and guess what? John Terry thinks Chelsea need more proven experience, imagine that? He gets added to our all-star lineup of former Chelsea legends who have said the same thing over the last few years. You can read his full quotes here and once again, he’s spot on.
One striker we are heavily linked with is Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt. I wrote about my concerns on him earlier this week. As you know, Luke Rushbrook is great with his player profile articles, and he has done one for Ekitike here that is well worth the read as always.
Of course, you can as always round up ALL of your latest Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here. This covers transfer rumours, quotes, and everything else you need to know. It was too late for me to grab any after game quotes and interviews, but I’ll add those to the blog this morning!
Peace, Si.
