Morning all,
I hope you had a good weekend. Chelsea were back, we were excited about it, and we had reason to be! The Blues duly delivered to fulfil our excitement, smacking Bournemouth 5-1 on Saturday afternoon!
What a result, although the result does not paint the whole picture. Read my reactions here. At the end of the day though, you just have to buzz after beating Bournemouth 5-1 - a fantastic result!
It was very much the Jordan Henderson show on Saturday, with the veteran rolling back those years to score two goals and assist one! Xabi Alonso was full of praise for him after the game, and you can read every word the gaffer said in the aftermath here.
And in even more good news from the weekend, Cole Palmer signed a new contract extension at the club until 2034! Who is next in line for a new contract? Words on that and Palmer here.
We were yet again linked to Jules Kounde of Barcelona over the weekend, so I had to jump back on and speak about that here. Is there something happening with this one!?
As always, round up all your latest general Chelsea news from across Sunday in our Blues News Report here. Covers all you need to know.
See you all on the next Live Blog from around 8.45am on the home page!
Peace, Si.
Yes a very good win but after watching the premiership this weekend it feels rather pointless and flat. Football is bigger than any club and it’s being bought into disrepute by City and the premiership. It’s needs sorting now. I can’t just live in a Chelsea bubble and not care about anything else the game as a whole is just too important.
