Here is your Saturday morning updates on the latest behind our ownership takeover attempts.

It’s quite funny to see many of the very top and most reliable sources disagreeing over what is actually happening right now.

Alistair Magowan of The BBC has been on point with his reporting during most of this, and he believes now that there are five shortlisted parties, with a second mystery bidder on the list.

But, Matt Slater of The Athletic, also considered very reliable, says there is no fifth mystery bidder.

As we have been reporting here for weeks now, we were told of at least two parties who were advancing but wished to do it in silence, and that is what has been happening. A very good source told me to expect to hear of at least one or two more names in the buying process, and that those names had been embargoed. So there may or may not be one more ‘mystery bidder’.
