Covering: Lucas Digne to Chelsea, Rudiger's honest assessments, Musonda's heartbreak, and our general news sweep...
Hello people!
As we continue this festive period, the unknown of Covid-19 continues the threaten football and disrupt us all.
At the time of writing Chelsea do still have a game on to play against Brentford tomorrow night, but both sides have their Covid-19 issues in camp. Let’s see what happens today though…
The Premier League have made a decision to carry on matches and not take a break, for now, after a meeting with all 20 clubs on Monday.
Meanwhile, we do have a transfer rumour to rate here to keep us all occupied, Lucas Digne to Chelsea in January? Who says no, right?
I do enjoy how straight-talking Antonio Rudiger is when it comes to reviewing matches and performances. I know he also does the whole ‘Hustle’ hashtag, but he always has more to say than the usual ‘we will bounce back’ type of reaction that I swear they all have saved in drafts on their Twitter ready to tweet.
However, Rudiger’s honest assessment here of the Wolves game and the general situation is 100% bang on.
A bit of an emotional tale now with Charly Musonda speaking for the first time in public on leaving Chelsea at the end of this season. It’s a sad end to a turmoil and rollercoaster story, you can check that out here.
A sourced article here based on why Chelsea have not been calling up any academy players to join the first team squad when we have been super light on numbers.
And finally, our general news sweep up here detailing anything else you might have missed during Monday.
Remember guys, myself and Dan are looking for festive related questions from you for our Podcast this week, so please drop those in comments!
Have a good one, Si.
