Chelsea Newsletter - Monday 5th September

Good morning all,

We are back to the chilled out non-transfer window related newsletters again. Excellent news. However, that doesn’t mean the news dies down. Anything but in fact. January is just around the corner…. The drama continues.

So do the sourced stories. We don’t get just transfer news here of course. We also get a lot of other inside stuff on what the owners are up to and planning next, and there’s a lot of big things to come. Todd Boehly and co are working absolute wonders right now at the club.

First of all though, when there is no live blog, I’ll always do a news report roundup at the end of each day going over all the latest Chelsea news that is being reported out there right now, as well as any other sourced bits we need to put out. So you can get Sunday’s report here.

Next up, let’s get to the juicy sourced stuff. First of all, a report on the latest information surrounding new contract negotiations. I have inside info here on Webster, Vale, James, Mount, Jorginho, and Kante!

The next sourced report is on our search now to find a sporting director as well as a new head scout off the back of Scott McLachlan leaving the club. There are some big plans in place and news of potential candidates for both roles in here.

We had a game to review from Saturday as well, and it was so refreshing and pleasing to see Chelsea finally fight back from a goal down to actually win a game. It was far from perfect, but a hugely important win all the same. I’ve got my full thoughts on that here.

And last but not least, I’ve done a lot of research and spoken to a few people regarding our latest signing Denis Zakaria. I’ve got a report here on what to expect from him and what he can bring to our team. I actually think we could have a decent player on our hands here.
