Good morning people! Hope you all had a good weekend.
It’s been predictably busy again in terms of noise surrounding Chelsea this weekend, yet without anything really significant happening.
The one deal that has had some good movement over the weekend as we reported first in our article on Saturday morning, is the Matthijs De Ligt to Chelsea deal. I’ve got all the latest on that here as Chelsea look to get that one tied up as soon as possible now. Respect the pun work here please ladies and gents!
What about Cristiano Ronaldo to Chelsea? Would any of you take that? Well, it’s a transfer rumour we have been forced to rate here after one of the biggest stories of the weekend!
Let’s stick to transfer rumours for now and move to a couple of midfield names that have been linked recently, Frenkie De Long and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. I’ve addressed the general midfield situation in this one here, as well as some words on Declan Rice.
Chelsea are back! Pre-season has begun, and the new season is just around the corner. That excites me just a little bit. Get all the latest on what happened on the first day back in pre-season training on Saturday here, accompanied by images and videos as well.
Finally, a comment piece on the general situation surrounding our transfer movements right now and my opinion on not signing anyone yet. It’s far from a cut and dry situation, but I totally understand some frustrations at this point. More here.

A few points to mull
1. Chelsea is no longer a prime draw for top Barca loving players. Too many of them unfortunately.
2. Is Tuchel partly to blame for the turgid football on offer for top players?
3. Clearly a need for an experienced negotiator who knows European football and prices to strike deals over. Boehly is too green at this "dukawallah" game; he will get better.
As Raphina or Dembele are slowly fading as attacking acquisitions it appears who do you reckon are likely attacking targets (aside from Sterling) from information you are being told?
