Morning all,

Disgraceful showing in The League Cup Final from Chelsea last night sparks again the issues we are facing, issues that might have been masked by many from club PR articles and plastering over the cracks with some positivity. But yesterday shows why many of us have not let ourselves get carried away with it all even though it has been refreshing to see some positivity of late. But reality still seems different. The players were poor last night, Mauricio Pochettino had a true shocker, and it’s been clear once against hat this squad has been built naively at the least and rightfully fingers are pointed at the board and ownership team.

I had three articles written and out before the game yesterday as well. The first one is a sourced article on the goalkeeper situations being pondered before the summer. Chelsea are fairly content with what they have at the moment, but there’s more to it than that. There is also a Premier League goalkeeper who continues to be monitored at the club. My next article is another from my new feature, ‘Looking Back’, I have continued the theme of honing in on some of my favourite ever Chelsea players, and this time I’ve taken a look back at the cult hero, Raul Meireles! This guy had it all, and I enjoyed writing about him again in here.

Myself and my Wife have a feeling that today could be the day that our son arrives into this world. We have had some signs of things starting to happen! So I’ll startup the live blog as usual from 8am this morning and start writing some articles. But there is a chance I may have to jump ship for a day, two days, or even a few days now. Obviously I might not get on the Podcast this week but we have got THE best replacement lined up - the main man Dan Macca McCarthy! I’ve left that in Jai’s hands, but it’s looking like Thursday as usual. But of course, I’ll keep you informed on the blog today! See you there!
