'Chelsea breach UEFA rules & must sell players', Matt Law has concerns over Chelsea's FOS sponsorship issues, Newcastle or PSG? Jody Morris discouraged Frank Lampard to take Chelsea job, Much more....
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 27th of February 2026!
Morning all,
We are almost now at the end of February, with another football season now heading towards the end part.
Chelsea play against Arsenal this coming Sunday in the 4.30pm UK time kick off and as I’ve said, we have to win it because it is my boy’s 2nd Birthday! Do it for Solly, lads!!
Round up all of your latest Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here. This covers all you need to know!
Away from the Premier League for a moment, and today we will find out who we face in the round of 16 of the Champions League. It’s either Newcastle United or PSG. Who would you rather face? Words on that as well as a poll here. The draw will be at 11am today!
Matt Law was on a Podcast earlier this week and he was speaking about the mess that is Chelsea’s FOS sponsor. We have the temporary one in now, but Law says he is not believing what he is being told by the club about the long term sponsor plans. His words and mine here.
Meanwhile, claims are being made that Chelsea have already breached UEFA’s financial rules and must now sell players as a result. What does all this mean? And what are club sources telling me about selling our best players? Find all of that out here. The club have since rebuffed these claims via a couple of journalists last night.
Finally for this week, a story on how Jody Morris tried to discourage Frank Lampard from taking the Chelsea manager job in 2019. But it’s not for a reason you would expect. Read all about that here as well as some extra words from me on Lampard this season and going forward.
I also recorded a solo Podcast yesterday and really enjoyed it! So do check that out here if you haven’t already!
See you all back on the site on Sunday in time for the big game. Not sure when I will be doing my match report on it yet because obviously I’ll be at Solly’s Birthday party! But we’ll get it out at some point. Live Discussion Thread will be on the App for the game as always.
Have a good weekend all!
Peace, Si.

The financial side is their expertise and they can’t even get that right so I have very little hope for the football side of things. They are a seriously unimpressive group of people these owners. The financial league table of clubs doesn’t make pleasant reading and we are falling further and further behind. I love Stamford Bridge but it’s not fit for purpose now and they have to do something sooner rather than later.
