Chelsea 1 Pafos 0, Sources: Latest on Jeremy Jacquet pursuit, EXCL: Bournemouth eyeing Tyrique George, Chelsea Files: 'Pathetic' protests to have no effect on Eghbali, Palmer & Enzo futures, More....
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 22nd January 2026!
Morning all,
Chelsea played last night in our latest Champions League game against Pafos in the league stages.
It was pretty laboured against a tough to break down low block, but Chelsea got there in the end and got a very important win in the UCL league stage.
You can get my full thoughts, debrief, ratings, and conclusion here.
You can round up all of your latest Chelsea news in general in the same place here. This covers all the latest transfer happenings and anything else in between.
I put the latest out on the attempts to sign Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes yesterday morning. That went to your emails and hasn’t moved much since, but if you want to you can check that here.
We also had an exclusive transfer article out yesterday on Tyrique George. He has interest coming in now from Bournemouth, and the expectation still is that he is sold this window. Read all about that here.
I found a great article this week. It’s titled ‘The Chelsea Files’ and is a regular thing by The Sun. I’ve honed in on some snippets here and given my verdict on each story. They talk about the Chelsea protests and label them ‘pathetic’, plus how Eghbali will ignore them, Palmer not being happy ‘down south’, & the Jacquet negotiator being a former BlueCo employee. It’s some very interesting stuff.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.45am today.
Peace, Si.

We a slipping down every league at the moment including the money league. Even behind Spuds.
I also hear we are interested in Douglas Luiz who can’t even get a game at Forrest. You literally couldn’t make it up.
