Chelsea 1 Nottingham Forest 3, EXCL: Four clubs tracking Malo Gusto this summer, Cole Palmer is a TOP player but his form has been off, Talent alone is no longer enough, Much more....
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 5th May 2026!
Morning all,
I hope you’ve had a nice long weekend if you were fortunate enough to get it.
Chelsea were in action last night against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, and unfortunately the Chelsea FC Blueco horror story continues. It’s a scary time to be a Chelsea fan right now, and it’s bloody hard work.
You can grab my full thoughts, debrief, ratings, and conclusion on the game here.
I had the live blog running as it was just another Monday for us here at SPTC towers. So you can get all of your latest Chelsea news in general from the last 24 hours, including the reactions to the Forest game here.
I also put out another exclusive transfer article yesterday, with four big clubs showing an interest in Chelsea defender Malo Gusto. You can read all about that here.
Apparently anyone who thinks Cole Palmer has not been in his best form is speaking a ‘fake narrative’. Wrong! Palmer’s form has not been the best, anyone who thinks it has, hasn’t been watching him! But nobody is doubting that he is a TOP player. Words here. And I even wrote this BEOFRE his poor performance yesterday.
Finally, football is changing. I think we are in a transitional period in terms of styles of play and what makes a team successful. Something that teams really need now in the Premier League is physicality, work rates, and strong mentalities. Chelsea need to recruit this summer with all of that in mind. Words here.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.45am today.
Peace, Si.

A couple of years ago, Scott Saunders who is a United fan, on one of his podcasts said “apathy is what I feel about my club”. I can now safely say that I know exactly what he felt like at the time.
Been a fan since 1996 and barring the Potter phase (which I can ignore because it was an unusual situation - with the takeover etc) I’ve never felt like this. Owners are custodians of the club, but these guys think they are bigger because of the financial clout. But even from a business standpoint…. It’s just bad business. No FOS sponsor long term is a very clear and obvious example. And even if this were a pure corporate setup and not a football club, how is it that the sporting directors are not held accountable, it’s mind boggling! And the worst part is I don’t see any light at the end of a tunnel, and given the mountain of debt that these guys have racked up, I don’t even want to think about what’s next because it scares me.
