The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 20th February 2025!
Morning all,
Welcome to Friday, and after 8 days off, Chelsea are back in action tomorrow!
We are home to Burnley in the Premier League for the traditional 3pm kick off. I have spoken ahead of the game and looked into the form of our opponents here. I think we will win this game fairly comfortably and really, we should be too. But we cannot take anything for granted.
We have to keep an eye on what Romeo Lavia’s head is doing when he next plays, apparently. The game has gone! Haha, I’m slightly joking, but see what I mean in here. But if you do want to watch Lavia’s head, you can watch later today as he is set to get some action for the U21s as he is eased back into some competitive minutes.
Meanwhile, Cole Palmer should be back in the starting Xl this Saturday after a break at the weekend. But there has once again been Manchester United rumours with Palmer. Unfortunately, as I’ve reported and many chose not to believe, Palmer is a boyhood United fan and will always be drawn towards them - it’s just a fact. It doesn’t mean he will be joining them any time soon or wants out of Chelsea. But his mate is trying to get him there! Story here, but nobody needs to be worried about all this right now.
The community have been split on a couple of polls this week, which is unusual for us. We’re normally pretty in sync. But we are unsure on signing Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-Jae. Check out the poll results and my opinion here.
Round up all your latest general Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here.
Last couple of weeks we have failed with the Podcast, and Jai’s Wifi meant we failed again yesterday (we did try but there was a huge delay and the quality would have been terrible). Jai is recording with Luke later today instead, that I assure you of, you will have an episode! And I’ll be back next week.
See you all back on the site on Sunday, where you will get my reactions to the Burnley game. I’ll start the Live Discussion Thread as usual on the Substack App in the chat section for the game.
Have a great weekend all!
Peace, Si.

I’m surprised you didn’t do a single podcast as they tend to be shorter a little more focused and a nice addition to the daily news.
