That summed it up perfectly from what we know so far. I’m not even sure what Clearlake want maybe just a bigger version of Brighton because they don’t communicate.
I can't see how anyone can back Todd until we know who his new investors are and their potential influence. People signed up to his vision in tbmhe first place, but he brought in backers that overrode it. It would be nice to trust he learnt his lesson. But if he was under pressure and couldn't identify appropriate backing last time, how can we have confidence he can do it this time when he's in the middle of a so called civil war? Additionally he says he wants the best in class but he saw Potter as that after Tuchel was sacked, so not sure where confidence in it comes from. In fact, the reason for Eghbali asserting more control and Todd stepping back was after he bought and negotiated on that 2022 summer with Tuchel, appointed Potter and plummeted to the bottom half of the table. As I've said before, I have no preference between either side, they both have faults. However, whilst Todd's soundbites sound more promising in certain respects, the only execution of his vision to date, in those early days, leaves a lot left to be desired.
Spot on and succinctly put. The reason set out could not more clearly separate the two sides. Let’s just hope that Todd can find investors of the same mindset with sufficient money to let Clearwater leave with the profit they require for their investors.
