Welcome to Hump Day!
Plenty going on around the club as always this week despite another international break, and there is lots to speak on.
Earlier in the week, I asked the community here to build their very best Chelsea Xl if we are ever in the unrealistic position of having everyone fit and available. The results are here, with my views on it too.
Meanwhile, I picked up on some comments made by former Manchester City Financial Adviser Stefan Borson this week in order to set the record straight. He claimed that Chelsea have a very high wage bill, but the fact is, there’s no way he knows what our wage bill is, and I’ve also defended incentivised wages here.
A couple of former Chelsea players had some interviews out this week. There was a big and very interesting interview from former player and manager Ruud Gullit this week. There’s a lot of questions in here on current Chelsea, and also some interesting insights on him never actually wanting to be a manager.
Emmanuel Petit has also been speaking on current Chelsea this week and he believes that The Blues must now get back amongst the big trophies such as the Premier League title and the Champions League. Some words from him, as well as John Obi Mikel in here.
