The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 15th August 2025!
Morning all!
Welcome to another weekend, and this one is special because it’s the return of Premier League football for Chelsea! The Blues face Crystal Palace on Sunday and I’m excited for it! I’ve got some words ahead of the game here with a lineup that I think we might see, and what to expect from our opponents. The hard work starts NOW!
It’s been a very slow week in the transfer market, which concerns me for a few reasons really. It can heat up fast, and I do expect it do. But it’s made content hard to come by this week! So what I did for now was hone in on some pundit comments from last week that I found interesting for whatever reason. Get the drop on that here.
As mentioned, Chelsea need to get some more signings in before the window closes in my opinion. But it’s not just my opinion.
71% of the fans in our community say Chelsea need to sign a new centre back. Find out the full results of the poll and my full opinion on why I back the 71% in here.
And 76% of the fans in our community say we need to sign a new goalkeeper this window as well, and of course they’re correct. Again, see the poll results and my full opinion on it here.
Round up all your latest Chelsea transfer news and general news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here. This covers it all!
Have a great weekend all. As always, I’ll jump on the Substack App if I get any news, and I’ll get the live discussion thread going on there for Sunday too!
Peace, Si.

Thanks Si. Like everyone else I’m super excited about Sunday. Hoping for a statement win and not a banana skin! 😀 On a housekeeping note, I don’t see your posts until your summary on Substack the following day. Do they appear on another platform and then on Substack the next day in your summary? Up the Chels and carry on the good work!
